HP X360 Overview

Thin at 0.89″ and equipped with a 360° hinge design, the natural/titan silver 13″ Pavilion x360 13-s120nr Multi-Touch 2-in-1 Notebook from HP allows you to fold the screen a full 360°, transforming it between stand, tent, notebook, and tablet modes.

The 13.3″ IPS WLED-backlit widescreen display is powered by integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 with up to 2,004MB of total graphics memory and an HDMI output. It features a 1366 x 768 native resolution and maintains the 16:9 aspect ratio, so 720p HD content scales appropriately. The display also features touch support, so you’ll be able to utilize the multi-touch gestures incorporated into Windows 10 Home. You can swipe, tap, and resize apps at your preference.

The system is powered by a dual-core 6th generation Skylake 2.3 GHz Intel Core i3-6100U Dual-Core processor, allowing you to run multiple applications simultaneously. The system’s 4GB of 1600 MHz DDR3L RAM, not only allows efficient multitasking, but also allows frequently-used files and programs to be quick accessed. Please be aware that the memory slot is not user accessible and may not be upgraded past the pre-installed 4GB. A 500GB 5400 rpm hard drive provides access to your data. For connecting to the Internet, 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet and 802.11ac Wi-Fi are included. External peripherals such as additional storage, optical drives, memory card readers, printers, and more may be connected using the 2 x USB 3.0 ports and 1 x USB 2.0 port. Additional compatible peripherals may be paired using Bluetooth technology.

Whether you are listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a game, the built-in B&O Play audio with stereo speakers offer high quality sound. There is also an integrated TrueVision HD webcam which allows you to engage in face-to-face conversations using Skype or other software, integrated dual array digital microphones, and a multi-format digital media card reader. Included with this system are a 45W AC adapter and a 3-cell / 48Wh prismatic battery.

Windows 10 is the installed operating system. Windows 10 Home improves the user experience of Windows with several additions and changes. Cortana, Microsoft’s digital assistant, is integrated into Windows 10 and is available to answer questions with information gathered from both your system and the Internet. Microsoft Edge replaces Internet Explorer and the Windows Store is now unified to include apps for PCs, tablets, and phones. There is also the Windows Continuum and Xbox One streaming with integration for supported games. Windows 10 provides a unique user experience that differs from previous versions of Windows.

HP Pavilion x360 13-S120nr

360° Hinge
A 360° hinge allows the HP Pavilion to be used in four versatile modes. The notebook mode offers access to the keyboard and touchpad for efficient use of the computer for everyday tasks. Stand mode is optimized for watching movies and video conferencing, tent mode helps make it easy to play games and use apps, notebook mode lets the Pavilion x360 be used like a standard notebook, and tablet mode allows the system to be operated like a tablet, for reading, blogging, and on-the-go browsing
13.3″ Multi-Touch Display
The 13.3″ widescreen display of the HP Pavilion features a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1366 x 768 native resolution, which can play 720p HD content natively without upscaling
802.11ac Wi-Fi
Featuring 802.11ac Wi-Fi, the HP Pavilion delivers high performance, broader coverage, and longer battery life than previous Wi-Fi standards. The HP Pavilion also comes with Bluetooth technology so you’ll be able to connect wirelessly to Bluetooth-compatible peripherals and accessories.

Windows 10

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8’s Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items
Cortana
Microsoft’s digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With it, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it’s not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift
